Privacy Policy

Plain-language summary of how we handle data at Flopex (flopex.ai).

Flopex operates a routing API that sends your inference requests to third-party model providers. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account and contact data. When you sign up, we collect the email address you provide so we can create your account, send operational messages, and support you.
  • API and service usage. We log metadata about requests and responses needed to run the service: for example timestamps, model identifiers, token or usage counts, routing decisions, latency, error codes, and similar technical data. This helps us bill accurately, debug issues, and detect abuse.
  • Billing and payment data. Payments and invoicing are processed by Stripe. We receive billing-related information from Stripe (such as payment status and transaction identifiers) as needed to credit your account and maintain records. We do not store full card numbers on Flopex servers; card data is handled by Stripe under their terms and PCI practices.
  • Website analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) on flopex.ai to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser class). You can limit tracking through your browser settings, ad blockers, or Google’s opt-out tools where available.

Data minimization for inference

We do not store the full text of your inference prompts or model outputs for long-term retention. We process requests in order to route them to underlying providers and to compute usage for billing and debugging. What we keep longer-term is generally metadata (for example usage aggregates, costs, and routing logs), not the content of conversations, except as needed for short-lived operational handling, security investigations, or where we are legally required to retain information.

How we use your data

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Flopex API and website.
  • Authenticate requests, enforce limits, and prevent abuse.
  • Bill you, apply wallet credits, and maintain financial records.
  • Communicate with you about your account, security, and service changes.
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests when required.

How long we keep data

  • Routing and operational logs. Typically on the order of about 90 days, unless we need to keep specific information longer for security, legal, or dispute resolution.
  • Billing and tax records. We retain billing and accounting records as long as necessary to meet tax, regulatory, and legal requirements (often multiple years, depending on jurisdiction).
  • Account data. Kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to recover accounts, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

Third-party services

We rely on vendors to run Flopex. They only receive data needed for their role:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription or wallet-related billing.
  • Model and inference providers — when you call our API, your requests are routed to third parties that host models. Depending on the model, underlying capabilities may include providers and model families from organizations such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Meta, among others available through our routing layer. Those providers process requests according to their own terms and policies.
  • Vercel — hosting and delivery of the flopex.ai website.
  • Railway — hosting for our backend services.
  • PostgreSQL (or compatible managed database) — application and account data storage.
  • Google Analytics — website usage and performance metrics.

Cookies and analytics

Our marketing site may set cookies or use similar technologies as part of Google Analytics and normal site operation. You can control cookies in your browser. Analytics helps us see which pages are used and how the site performs; it is not a substitute for API request logging described above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, export, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond in line with applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request (for example, because of a legal obligation to keep billing records), we will explain why.

Changes
